超過100名成人和兒童，在陽光燦爛大暑天，參與萬錦市加華聯會於8月11日星期六下午舉辦的「一齊來玩、加華嘉年華」活動。
這項活動是在萬錦市加華聯會文化中心隔鄰的Ray Street Park公園進行。大部分出席者在活動3時舉行前已抵達會場。
有參與活動的家長表示，「一齊來玩、加華嘉年華」活動，正好給與在學校暑期中的兒童，一項充滿歡樂的遊戲活動。
嘉年華活動為小孩子們提供了四項有趣的有獎遊戲，他們是Tic Tac Toss，Ring Toss，Cans Knockdown和Hula Hoop Game，並且為所有出席活動人士提供免費茶點招待。
這些遊戲不僅僅受到孩子們歡迎，很多父母也按捺不著落場一同參與，他們興奮和緊張的程度，不遜於小童。
一位有兩個孩子的母親表示，起初是看著女兒們玩，但後來她決定和他們一起參加Ring Toss遊戲，這使得他們經歷了一段最歡樂和最美好的家庭時間。
萬錦市加華聯會主席吳建忠醫生歡迎附近社區區民踴躍出席參與。 他還主持幸運抽獎，頒發了三個大獎給三位幸運兒。

August 11, 2018 Markham – Parents who brought their children out on a sunny Saturday afternoon for fun-filled activities described the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham (FCCM) Summer Funfest as the perfect treat for children during summer school break.
More than 100 children and adults joined the fun presented by the FCCM Cultural Center on August 11, 2018 in Ray Street Park located at 100 South Unionville Avenue, Markham. Many of them had arrived at the event well before it started at 3:00 p.m.
The free event offers a lot of fun activities for the kids and provided free refreshments for all ages.
While the attendees enjoyed delicious food (including spring roll, steam bun and samosa), children enjoyed playing games on the green lawn of Ray Street Park.
The Funfest had four games for the children to complete in order to get a prize. They are Tic Tac Toss, Ring Toss, Cans Knockdown and Hula Hoop Game.
The games were not enjoyed only by the kids, but by the parents as well for good family fun!
A mother of two said at first she watched her daughters played, but then she decided to join the Ring Toss game with them, making it one of the most fun and wonderful bonding family time together.
Dr. Ken Ng, Chairman of FCCM, welcomed the crowd and thanked everybody for the high turnout and support. He also presented three grand prizes to the lucky draw winners among the games participants.
