一年容易又中秋！在這個人月兩團圓的佳節，萬錦市加華聯會與太古廣場合辦【太古朗月賀中秋】活動，邀請了香港歌手、演員和導演的李日朗，專程到太古廣場演唱，與多倫多的朋友近距離接觸，並且大玩遊戲和派送月餅。

在一輪熱舞暖場後，太古廣場幾百名現場觀眾的情緒，逐漸升溫。李日朗出場首先唱出香港歌神許冠傑的「十個女仔」，以挑皮輕快的節奏，進一步帶起現場氣氛。他一共唱了七首歌曲，包括男人的感概、傾心、劉飛飛、風繼續追和十年等。
萬錦市加華聯會主席吳建忠醫生致詞時，首先祝賀太古廣場對社區的貢獻，並且感謝加華聯會活動贊助-道明銀行-的熱充支持，為社區區民帶來不同類型的慶祝活動。今次慶中秋活動是加華聯會與太古廣場的第六年合辦。吳建忠醫生也特別感謝Jesse Kalan Parker主持今次活動，以及過去主持包括萬錦亞洲文化美食節等社區活動。
代表士嘉堡北區的聯邦國會議員陳聖源，宣讀聯邦總理杜魯多祝賀華人社區歡渡中秋節的賀文。杜魯多指出，慶祝中秋節活動源遠流長，朋友和家人齊聚一堂，感謝豐收和今年的成功。

Rejoice in full moon as we come together to celebrate on this special occasion. The Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham and Pacific Mall jointly presented the “Mid-Autumn Moon Festival ” event, featuring Don Li, a Hong Kong singer, actor and director, who made a special trip to the Pacific Mall to get up close to friends and families in Toronto, to play games and deliver moon cakes.
After a round of hot dancing, the mood of the hundreds in the audience in Pacific Mall gradually warmed up. Don Li first sang the “Ten Lady” – a song from Hong Kong Cantopop icon Sam Hui, and brought the performance to the peak. He sang a total of seven songs.
Dr. Ken Ng, Chairman of the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham, first congratulated the Pacific Mall for their contribution to the community, then – TD Bank – for its sponsorship in bringing different types of celebrations to the Chinese community. This celebration of the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival was the sixth year of joint events by the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham and Pacific Mall. Dr. Ng also paid special tribute to Jesse Kalan Parker for co-hosting this and many of our community events including the Taste of Asia Festival.
Shaun Chen, MP for the Scarborough North, presented to Dr. Ken Ng and FCCM the congratulatory message from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to congratulate the Chinese community on the Mid-Autumn Festival. Trudeau pointed out that the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival had a long history, with friends and family gathering together to give thanks to the harvest and the success of this year.
