About Mid-Autumn Festival

The time of the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is fast approaching. This is when the Chinese people celebrate their harvests. The Mid-Autumn Festival is an event that celebrates family and togetherness. It is a time for a reunion between family and friends to share stories while enjoying mooncakes under the full harvest moon. The Lunar Festival symbolizes prosperity, happiness, and peace.

This annual Mid-Autumn Festival is organized by the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham (FCCM). It is one of many events alongside the Taste of Asia event that FCCM has successfully organized for the past 17 years, with over 250,000 attendees of diverse backgrounds participating. With the extensive success of Taste of Asia, this upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival is intended to celebrate family reunions and the gathering of friends.

We invite you, your family, and your friends to come out and be a part of this once-in-a-year festival.

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome!
