About the Chinese New Year Gala
The FCCM welcomes you to join us in celebrating the Chinese New Year. We invite you to experience our incredible Lion Dance and singing performances, Chinese art, calligraphy demonstrations, and New Year forecast and zodiac prediction stages.
History of Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year is the festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar and solar Chinese calendar.
The New Year celebration is centered around removing the bad and the old and welcoming the new and the good. It’s a time to worship ancestors, exorcise evil spirits, and pray for a good harvest.
