甫進入萬錦市新地標的「王府井購物中心」中央大堂，便可看到豎立了幾十尺高，閃爍耀眼的聖誕樹。在高樓底猛光線的襯托下，添上濃厚節日氣氛。

萬錦市加華聯會和萬錦華商會於12月8日星期六下午，選擇了這個即將啟幕的大多倫多地區全新五星級購物中心來舉辦歲末聚會，與政商界朋友一同慶祝節日。
「王府井購物中心」將是萬錦市加華聯會新會址
萬錦市加華聯會和萬錦華商會主席吳建忠醫生表示，這是因為「王府井購物中心」將是萬錦市加華聯會的新會址。“我們很高興能夠在2019年搬遷到這裡佔地10,000平方尺的新空間。”
吳建忠醫生又表示，萬錦市加華聯會將與「王府井購物中心」一起合作，籌劃明年開展一系列商場和社區推廣活動，以支持這個充滿活力的萬錦市，就像該會多年來在城市廣場和太古廣場努力作出的貢獻一樣。
他又闡述了2019年的其它計劃，包括在「王府井購物中心」舉辦多元文化活動，促進非華人社區對中國文化的了解；同時也邀請非華人社區團體舉辦跨文化的活動，展現他們的文化遺產，雙互體驗各自的文化特色。

當五星红旗升起的時候，讓全世界華人振奮鼓舞。雖然身處海外，但一股民族自豪感油然而生。
萬錦市加華聯會和約克區加華聯會，為慶祝中華人民共和國成立69週年，聯合於9月30日，在約克區華人聚居的列治文山市、萬錦市和旺市的市政廳，分別舉行隆重的中國國旗升旗儀式。
出席並主持升旗儀式的中國駐多倫多總領事韓濤在致詞時表示，今年是中國改革開放40週年，中國經濟取得重大成就，中國已是全球第二大經濟體，中國持續發展將對全球發展有利。
韓濤總領事又提到中國倡導的”一帶一路”五年來的重要進展，已有超過一百個國家加入參與，而加拿大在今年三月正式成為亞洲基礎投資銀行的成員國，可以為有關成員國家提供資金，以支持他們的基礎設施建設。

一年容易又中秋！在這個人月兩團圓的佳節，萬錦市加華聯會與太古廣場合辦【太古朗月賀中秋】活動，邀請了香港歌手、演員和導演的李日朗，專程到太古廣場演唱，與多倫多的朋友近距離接觸，並且大玩遊戲和派送月餅。

「 一齊來玩 、加華嘉年華」十分成功 FCCM community Summer Funfest event was a great success, bringing out families and friends from across Markham.

超過100名成人和兒童，在陽光燦爛大暑天，參與萬錦市加華聯會於8月11日星期六下午舉辦的「一齊來玩、加華嘉年華」活動。
這項活動是在萬錦市加華聯會文化中心隔鄰的Ray Street Park公園進行。大部分出席者在活動3時舉行前已抵達會場。
有參與活動的家長表示，「一齊來玩、加華嘉年華」活動，正好給與在學校暑期中的兒童，一項充滿歡樂的遊戲活動。
嘉年華活動為小孩子們提供了四項有趣的有獎遊戲，他們是Tic Tac Toss，Ring Toss，Cans Knockdown和Hula Hoop Game，並且為所有出席活動人士提供免費茶點招待。
這些遊戲不僅僅受到孩子們歡迎，很多父母也按捺不著落場一同參與，他們興奮和緊張的程度，不遜於小童。

【多倫多訊】金秋十月，在祖國舉國上下歡慶國慶的時節，遠在加拿大的中國同胞也用了特別的儀式進行慶祝。 10月2日週日，約克區烈治文山市、萬錦市、旺市分別舉行了升中國國旗儀式。經過昨日微雨的洗滌，今日天氣格外晴朗，不但讓升旗儀式順利進行，也增添了更多喜氣。
