【多倫多訊】金秋十月，在祖國舉國上下歡慶國慶的時節，遠在加拿大的中國同胞也用了特別的儀式進行慶祝。 10月2日週日，約克區烈治文山市、萬錦市、旺市分別舉行了升中國國旗儀式。經過昨日微雨的洗滌，今日天氣格外晴朗，不但讓升旗儀式順利進行，也增添了更多喜氣。 約克區各市的升中國國旗儀式已舉辦多年，該活動由約克區加華聯會主席吳建忠醫生及夫人Emily牽頭，並與各市政府市長、華裔市議員及中國駐多倫多總領事館共同合作舉辦。該活動首先在萬錦市連續舉辦多年，繼而延伸到烈治文山市及旺市。旺市今年第一次舉辦該升旗儀式，在中加建交46週年，及中加領導進行了互訪並建立了合作關係的歷史時刻，顯得更有意義。中國駐多倫多總領事薛冰及夫人與組織者約克區加華聯會主席吳建忠醫生日一起全程參加了從上午10時烈治文山市、中午萬錦市及下午3時旺市的升旗儀式，三個城市的三級政府官員都積極參與，社區華裔僑領也紛紛到場與民眾在異國他鄉共同歡慶國慶。各市參與的三級政府官員包括聯邦移民部長麥家廉、華裔國會副議長陳家諾、國會議員Majid...
